After Ram Gopal Verma Ki AAG has hit the screens it should be said that a few directors who had the ideas to remake The Blockbuster-Sholay would have dropped their ideas by now! But Dharmendra alias Veeru(the name of his character in the movie) thinks otherwise! He has shown interest in preparing a sequel for Sholay! The script is ready and so are few of the casts! It has been proposed that both Abhishek and Bobby Deol- the siblings of the famous Jai and Veeru would be roping in their real life characters in the movie! Abhishek is expected to play the role of Jai's son and Bobby will be the son of Veeru and Basanthi! It has also been speculated that both Dharmendra and Hema Malini would do their respective roles once again! Though a confirmation is still awaited! I think that this would be a good try as many are awaiting Sholay part-2!!
Will Sholay-II be a blockbuster like Sholay or a flopbuster like AAG! Only time can tell! Lets wait and see!

Arjun and KB join Hands!
Arjun is all smiles these days and it is not without enough reasons. For his long pending date with success has just happened with the release of his latest Marudamalai. Reason enough for the producers to swarm his front door for his dates. However, Arjun seemed to be holding all the cards and hadn’t nodded his consent for another project. But not for too long though. For he just can’t turn down a veteran like Balachander. Here is how.
arlier, director Selva called on Arjun for his next venture, the remake of old hit Nootrukku Nooru, for which the actor did not seem to show any keenness. Not sooner than the incident, Arjun received a call from Balachander – producer of the movie – and the veteran expressed his desire to cast Arjun in the remake project produced by Kavithalaya. The reason: Balachander was bowled over by the actor’s performance in Bommalattam. Arjun has obviously gestured a nod of consent to Selva after this.
Directed by Balachander, the old Nootrukku Nooru starred Jaishankar, Nagesh and Lakshmi and was a thriller sans action, which might as well provide a makeover for Arjun.
Arjun’s offbeat Bommalattam, directed by Bharathiraja, is due to hit the screens in the near future.

Four Remakes Of A Single Movie??
100 million dollars is being invested by a Bollywood Production House to make four versions of SHOLAY. In the year 1975 SHOLAY created ripples throughout the Asian countries. This film ran for years in theatres. This film is about two reformed crooks who save a village from a cruel brutal bandit. The bandit Gabbar Singh acted by Amjad Khan became so popular in this movie for he is portrayed as a tobacco-chewing, maniacal villain with staccato laughter.
The film was repackaged at various times, but an official remake is now going to be made by the Pritish Nandy Communications which has signed a deal with the producers of the original. The plan is to film a remake, a prequel, a sequel and an animated version of SHOLAY.

Paarthiban in Aayirathil Oruvan??
At a time when several films featuring the biggies are in the pipeline, Selvaraghavan's Aayirathil Oruvan seems to be the most expected of the lot. Well, it has all the reason to be. For one thing, fans and critics are eager to see Karthi's performance in this flick after his spellbinding performance in Paruthiveeran.
Added to this is Selvaraghavan's reputation as a master storyteller who can spin tales poignantly to touch the hearts of the audience. Music, among other things, is what the director concentrates, for all his films have had songs that were chartbusters. And his earlier ventures with Yuvan Shankar Raja bear testimony to this fact.
Adding one more to the feathers in his cap, in Aayirathil Oruvan, will be a guest performance by Parthiban. It’s no surprise that an actor of his stature has agreed for a cameo as he has done it before in Anthapuram. But then, Parthiban is always experimenting and is open to new ideas and roles and we expect his role in Aayirathil Oruvan to be as different as it was in Anthapuram.
And that is not all! Even Dhanush, the younger brother of the director will appear in a guest role. With Aayirathil Oruvan having an array of actors like Reema Sen, Andrea and Karthi it is quite natural that the film is drawing a lot of attention.Stay Tuned For More Updates!
