Vikram in a Rajni Remake?

Remakes being the latest trend in Kollywood, there is another blockbuster adding up to the list.

Rajinikanth's Moonru Mugam, directed by Jagannathan and produced by Sathya movies, is being considered for a remake.

Mr. Kathiresan of Five Star audios has acquired the rights and is thinking of roping in Vikram in the lead role and Hari as the director.

The Vikram-Hari combination worked out well in Saamy.

Vel approaches completion!

After a gap of one year with Sillunu Oru Kadhal being his last, actor Suriya is busy wrapping up the shoot for his Vel. The movie features Suriya in a dual role and acting opposite him is Asin, who plays a radio jockey. A major portion of the movie was shot in a village near Tirunelveli.

Speaking on the movie, Suriya says, “We have highlighted the need for the joint family system that is on the decline today. Our culture and values are lost due to the emergence of nuclear families”.

Vel will hit the screens for Diwali. Meanwhile, the shooting for Suriya's Varanam Aayiram, directed by Goutham Vasudeva Menon, will resume after the actor completes Vel.

Ayesha Takia plays opposite to Vijay!

Ayesha Takia has been assigned to act opposite Vijay for a movie early next year. She would play Vijay's heroine in a movie. The movie would be directed by Prabhu Deva.

Vijay and Prabhu Deva had earlier teamed up to render a blockbuster hit in Pokiri.

Vijay is currently acting in Azhagiya Tamil Magan. Soon, he would commence shooting for Kuruvi, a movie to be directed by Dharani and produced by Udhayanidhi, grandson of Chief Minister M Karunanidhi.

After Kuruvi, Vijay will shoot for Prabhu Deva's film.

Count Down For ATM Begins!!

Azhagiya Tamil Magan is one of the most anticipated movies this year which will be a Diwali Dhamaka. Vijay fans are upbeat about this project and a thunderous opening is expected this November. Here is Behindwoods exclusive information for you. ATM is nearing completion except for a song sequence which will be shot in a magnificent set in Binny Mills.

'Valayapatti thavil’ is the opening lines of this peppy number which features Shriya and Vijay in an exuberant mood dancing to the tunes of A R Rahman. The slim seductress will raise the blood pressures of all her fans when she will be gyrating atop a lorry. The post production will commence once this song is completed.

Aayirathil oruvan takes off!!

From the day the movie Aayirathil Oruvan was announced, expectations and hype surrounding the same are on the rise. It is not surprising especially when a director of caliber like Selvaraghavan and Paruthiveeran fame Karthi are teaming up.

The film is being produced by R.Ravindran for Dream Valley Corporation. It is said that Prathap Pothen is planning to make his come back with this film in a significant role. The girls who are going to accompany Karthi will be Reema Sen and Andrea of Pachaikili Muthucharam fame. Kola Baskar will be responsible for editing department. The shooting for the film is slated to commence with a song sequence penned by Na.Muthukumar and the lead artists will be waltzing to the steps choreographed by dance master Kalyan to the tunes of Yuvan Shankar Raja. Forty dancers along with Karthi, Reema Sen and Andrea will be dancing at a lavish set erected in the film city by eminent art director Thotta Tharani which will be captured by cinematographer Ramji. It has been reported that this spectacular set has been created at a cost of seventy five lakhs and for Selva, Aayirathil Oruvan will sure turn out to be an Aayirathil Oru film.

Multifarious Trisha

Trisha is on cloud nine these days as she will be featuring in 4-5 films this year as against her usual 3-4 films per year. With her favorite co-star Vijay, she will be seen in Dharani’s film tentatively titled Kuruvi the shooting of which is likely to commence by this year end. Though there were rumors of Asin and Vidya Balan in the film, sources have not confirmed the same.

Director Dharani who had earlier recorded success with his Gilli was said to be keen to repeat the same lucky combination of Vijay and Trisha in Kuruvi also. Due to this sentiment and the unparalleled onscreen chemistry between Trisha and Vijay is said to be the main reason for Trisha bagging this film.

And Trisha’s happiness does not stop there, as she has been signed by Radha Mohan for a movie called “Abhiyum Naanum” with Prakash Raj playing the role of her father. Trisha is excited about the film and says that it is sure to bring laurels to her. One more surprise from Goutham Menon is a woman centric film where Trisha will be seen with four debutants. The music for the film will be scored by the Isai Puyal A.R.Rahman. In addition to these Tamil films, she will also be working in Telugu films opposite Ravi Teja and Prabhas. Bheema on the verge for a Diwali Release!!

News has been afloat for quite sometime regarding the controversies that surround Bheema’s producer A. M. Rathnam and its effect on the release of the movie. Vijayakanth brought the issue to the fore, against the producer that he is yet to pay his dues for his earlier film. Lately, another financier also claimed that A. M. Rathnam owes him some money too.

When the producer was quizzed on this issue and the release of Bheema, he said that he was confident that the movie will be released as planned. Moreover, the morale of the team did not go down a bit even after such controversies. At present, Bheema’s dubbing work is in progress and the movie will be out in time for Diwali, he added.

Actress Trisha as Lady James Bond

Actress Trisha is very keen in doing a role of a lady James bond inspired non the other but action actress Vijayashanthi who use to fly in the air and doing kick boxing and karate. Her immediate step was to open a fan’s club. Now she is busy listening to many action stories and ultimately chosen a story. The action film is likely to be made in Telugu and it is also understood that she will not deliver dialogues up to 8 reels. You will be wondering what happens during this 7 reels nothing but action and lifting her legs to hit the villains.

Vikram does Panchavatharam!

Cheeyan Vikram in Kollywood circles is known for his involvement in any role that he performs and for the efforts that he undertakes to merge himself with the character on screen. This was evident in the way he strained his eyes while performing the role of hero in Kasi or the manner in which he pumped muscles in Anniyan.

His long awaited Bheema will hit the marquee soon and he is currently busy in doing the ground work for his upcoming Kandasamy where he is reported to be doing five different getups. According to unit source, each of the getups will be totally different from the other and one of them happens to be that of a tribal man. For this particular look, the director had made a trip to African jungles and studied the tribes living there very diligently and had incorporated his findings in Vikram’s looks. Cheeyan had also rendered his cooperation completely and the make-up department had tried on different looks with him and has shot a few rushes which itself have turned out fabulous. In Kandasamy, the portion involving the tribesman is slated to be filmed in Africa.

Another Remake!!

The season of remakes is catching up like wildfire. The success of Naan Avan Illai and other movies has led to a near scramble for the remake rights. Added to this is the remake of Billa, in which Ajith stars. Looks like Rajinikanth’s movies are the most favourite when it comes to remakes.

Moondru Mugam, another famous Rajini-starrer, will also find its way to this list very soon. This movie was originally produced by RM. Veerappan’s Sathya Movies and directed by A. Jagannathan. Kathiresan, producer of Polladhavan, has now procured the remake rights, sources say. Talks are on to finalise the star cast, more particularly the male lead, as it is a triple action role. Fans may recall that the Alex Pandian, role played by Rajini, was the talk of the town at those times. It would really be interesting to see who bags this role now.

Sivaji meets Guru

Kollywood is alight with rumors about the latest meeting of Superstar with Mani Ratnam, the ace director of Indian cinema. The meeting is said to have lasted for more than two hours. Rumor mongers have sprung upon this news and have started building up their own version of the meeting.

However, according to Kollywood sources, the visit was purely a courtesy call where Superstar met Mani Ratnam to offer his condolences on his brother's untimely demise. Besides this, Rajnikanth has also reportedly discussed about Sivaji being dubbed in Hindi and had sought the director's suggestion on this as he had recently given a blockbuster hit in Hindi in Guru. The duo was reported to have discussed the upcoming animation film "Sultan the Warrior" which was followed by Mani Ratnam narrating a couple of stories to the Superstar.

It is known that Rajini and Mani came together 16 years ago for the super hit "Thalapathy" which is still considered the best movie of Rajinikanth as an actor and the bond between them had grown ever since. Even though they have not worked together from then on, Rajinikanth has always kept him in high regards as he was the first one to appreciate Mani Ratnam when Roja and Bombay were released.

Although the reasons attributed for their meeting could only be an extension of imagination of the media, still the very thought of the Super Director and Superstar coming together, is certainly the biggest news of the year. If the two team up again it is bound to be a Diwali time for Kollywood. Let's wait for official statements.

Salman capitulated!!

We don't know whether they are the best of buddies at present but they soon will. Two men atop the burning deck of a ship often turn out to be friends. But jokes apart, the situation is grim for Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt and Bollywood. Salman has been sentenced to five years of imprisonment for killing a Chinkara (deer) in 1998. The actor was not present in court to hear the verdict.

The court which gave the verdict does not have the power to hear the bail application, so Salman will have to go behind bars for at least a few days before his lawyers can move to a higher court for bail. Even then his problems won't be solved and Bollywood would be deep in crisis. This thunderbolt of a news of Salman's conviction comes right behind the little element of relief that the news of Sanjay's coming out on bail brought.

ARR given a clean chit!!

The controversy surrounding the Jana Gana Mana album by A.R.Rahman came to an end today, with the Chief Justice A.P. Shah and Justice Jyothimani dismissing the petition to ban the album. According to the petitioner, Mohanraj, General Secretary of Jebamani Janata Party, the music director’s intention to release the album was to cash in on the national anthem.

Moreover, he alleged that the national anthem should be sung within stipulated seconds but Rahman has sung it for over seven minutes. The judges, while dismissing the petition on both counts, said that it is the right of the citizens to sing the national anthem and it cannot be deemed as an act of disrespect. Also they gave the verdict that there is no such rule as to the stipulated time.

Kuruvi- An Outline!!

Vijay-Dharani combo, who gave a super hit movie Ghilli, are back together once again for Kuruvi, Usually Kuruvi or Pura is used as a code word for illegal immigrants. As the title of the movie indicates, its storyline revolves around a youth who lands in Singapore without proper documents and to add to his woes the police also find that he has smuggled goods in his possession. The hero’s search for the villains forms the rest of the story.

Kuruvi will also be a fast paced movie just like Ghilli has been, reliable sources say. This project is being produced by Udhayanidhi, grandson of Chief Minister Karunanidhi. With Vidya Sagar scoring the music let’s hope that he gives us another smashing hit like “Appadi Podu”.

ARR might be imprisoned!!!

A.R. Rahman – the proud Indian he has always been, had released Vande Mataram on the occasion of the 50th year of independence and in the 60th year he came up with an album "Jana Gana Mana".

Even though the intentions were good, he seems to have forgotten that there is a law that the national anthem should be sung in a specific way and should be finished within the stipulated seconds.

And if done otherwise it is deemed as disrespect to the national anthem and could attract a sentence of a maximum of three years imprisonment. And now many people are ready to sue Rahman for this action.

"Do good, there will be none to support; do good, there will be hundreds to find fault". How true is this statement!

Will Shahrukh surpass The Boss???

The highest-paid-actor record that Rajinikanth has been holding till now has been snatched away by Shahrukh Khan. Eros has bought his home production’s Om Shakthi Om, directed by Farah Khan, for a whopping Rs. 75 crores. The music rights of this movie have been snatched away by the T-series for an astounding Rs. 8 crores.

With Om Shakthi Om, having been made at a budget of Rs. 25 crores, Shahrukh has pocketed a mind boggling Rs. 58 crores even before the release of the film. Close to his heels is Rajini who has got over Rs. 15 crores and a share from the international release for Sivaji. However, with Sivaji yet to be released in Rajini’s stronghold area – Japan
– the equations might change. Will Superstar win over the King Khan or will Khan have the last laugh?

Sivaji Releases again this Diwali!!!

Sivaji, undoubtedly the biggest hit in Tamil cinema history, was well received not just in Tamil Nadu but the world over. Even North India witnessed huge turnouts, which is a surprising factor as Tamil movies hardly get noticed in those areas. Probably after seeing such an unprecedented welcome for a movie that had no subtitles made AVM Productions decide on dubbing the movie in Hindi. And talks are on with Rajinikanth and Shriya to lend their voices for this.

Work has commenced for the Hindi dubbing and Dr. Shankar being a perfectionist that he is has decided to make minute changes to give it a Hindi flavor. Remember that when his Indian was dubbed in Hindi as Hindustani he shot the whole Manorama sequence with Aruna Irani, to give it a Hindi touch and also changed all the Tamil banners in the backdrop to Hindi. Vishal overtakes Ajith and Vijay!!!

Vishal the tall dark hero is creating waves in Kollywood with his incessant hits. As a result, distributors are competing with one another to purchase his films. His current project Malaikottai with Priyamani directed by Boopathy Pandian is nearing completion where his character is said to have a comical streak which will be very different from the roles that he has played hitherto.

After Malaikottai, it will be his home production Sathyam where he is touted to play an encounter cop. It was also rumored that Vishal spent time with a leading encounter specialist to understand the body language and the minute details that goes with this profession. As he has earned a huge fan base in Andhra Pradesh with his dubbed films, Sathyam will be shot in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously. Kollywood circles allege that a lavish budget of 18 crores for Sathyam has made Vishal overtake Ajith and Vijay (in this department) whose films till date has not gone so far as far as finances are concerned. Kaadhalikka Neram Illai, the super-duper hit of the 70s, is being remade. Ravichandran, the hero who had gained popularity through the movie, is remaking it with his son Hamsavardhan as hero.

The new Kadhalikka.. retains the origial story, but is directed by Manobala.

The new version is expected to fetch the required popularity and break for Hamsavardhan

Vishal has a handful of movies to rave about and the best thing about it is he has already set a firm foot in Telugu as well. Close on the heels of completing Azhagiya Tamil Magan, Vijay will commence shooting for a movie to be produced by Udhayanidhi and would be directed by Dharani.

After a blockbuster hit in Ghilli, Dharani and Vijay are coming together for their next.

Buzz is that the movie would be a commercially rich entertainer and would be a big-budgeted movie. The movie is tentatively titled Kuruvi.

Buzz is that the director has approached popular Bollywood actress Vidya Balan to play the female lead in the movie.

Vidya Balan had acted in popular movies including Parineeta, Lage Raho Munnabhai and Guru among others.

However the actress has not confirmed the offer.

Is Shankar's Robot jinxed again???

Director Shankar after the stupendous success of Sivaji was in news recently when he announced his next venture, his dream project Robot with Shahrukh Khan. It was reported that the project would be funded by the actor himself but the work was said to commence after his Om Shanthi Om, directed by Farah khan.

But now Shahrukh is said to have asked Shankar to wait for a while as he intends to finish another movie before starting Robot and the film will be directed by Shirish Kunder who happens to be the husband of Farah Khan. This film is also being produced by Shahrukh’s own production house Red Chillies Entertainment. Now Shankar can start the work on Robot only next year. Shankar had earlier faced a similar outcome when he first set off to make Robot with Kamal Haasan. Now will Shankar wait till next year? Or will he commence another film? Vishnuvardhan's next project????

The Billa team is back in town after a heavy schedule of shooting in Malaysia. According to director Vishnuvardhan, major portions of the movie had been filmed in Malaysia and the remaining will be shot at the AVM studios in Chennai. With Ajith back in action after a long rest due to health issues, work is on full swing as the director wants to complete the filming of Billa in a month’s time.

Meanwhile, the director also seems to have his own reasons for the rush as our sources say that he has already set his eyes on another project with Arya in the lead, which is to be produced by his father. Before starting off with Billa, Vishnuvardhan had decided on Sarvam which he had discussed with Surya. But due to prior commitments of both the director and the actor the movie did not take off. Simbu' next is Madyan!!!

Simbu does his balancing act very well. Yes. We are talking about both his Ks – Kettavan and Kaalai – and both are progressing very well. But rumour mills have it that the little star is more interested in Kettavan. When we probed into the Kaalai camp to know their state of mind over this issue, it became evident that actor was not partial to their project.

Well, the reason for the rumours could be due to the heavy promos that Kettavan has been creating. Perhaps, the star wants to cash in on these promos because at the start of every schedule the Kettavan team comes up with a set of posters. Amidst all this, Simbu has squeezed in time to write a story and script for his next movie. Interestingly, this project has been titled Madyan. Whether Simbu will wield the megaphone or entrust the work to someone else is a million dollar question.

The latest buzz doing round in the industry is that Lingusamy and Silambarasan might come together for a movie soon.

Rumors are also doing rounds that Lingusamy might direct Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan Teja for a Telugu movie.

The triple action mania has gripped Kollywood tight it seems. The latest to join the list after Ajith, Vadivelu and Vivek is Vijay, who would apparently act in three different roles in a movie to be directed by Gautam Vasudeva Menon.

Sources say that though Gautam is busy with Varanam Aayiram and the untitled film in which Trisha is acting in the lead, he is also preparing himself for the mega movie, in which he would join hands with Vijay for the first time.

‘The movie would be an action thriller and Vijay would act as a police officer after Pokkiri’, say sources close to the director.

Junior Jyo arrives!!!

Sivakumar’s household will have a new entrant. Jyothika – who was expecting – gave birth a baby girl yesterday at 9.22 p.m in a private hospital located on the Poonamallee high road in Chennai. Doctors confirmed that the baby and the mother are in perfect health. Jyothika had to undergo a cesarean during her delivery.

In a press report released by the Sivakumar family on the occasion, Sivakumar thanked all the support the couple received from fans worldwide during their wedding. In the report, Sivakumar further revealed the news of Jyothika’s delivery and expressed his gratitude to all the good hearts’ that blessed the couple. He also requested the blessings of fans for the newborn. Surya married Jyothika on the 11th of September last year in Park Sheraton hotel in Chennai after dating each other for five years. This is a review which takes you to a land of music with the cool breeze of BHEEMA songs gladdening your hearts! Bheema , Harris' new project rocks!! With the film set to hit the theatres , the expectation of the film has grown , courtesy the great tunes set by Harris!!

My ordering of songs would be,
1)Enathuyire. This song is truly a master piece!! A well composed melody to go with the great voices of Sadhana Sargam and the debutant Nikhil Matthew! The music director has made great use of the Airtel Super Singer!! His voice adds freshness to the melody!

2)Ragasiya Kanavugal. This song sung by Hariharan and Madhushree will catch the hearts of many after repeated hearing.

3)Mudhal Mazhai. The strength of this song is Hariharan and his matured voice..

4)Rangu Rangamma. Finally a different song i.e a fast song by Harris! Will surely be a hit!!

5)Oru Mugamo. This song seems to be a rapo type of a song... Krrish and Naresh Iyer have done a good job to keep the song alive!

6)Siru paarvalyale.. Though singers like Karthk and Harini have sung this song, it isnt quite effective as the others!!

ATM faces last minute hiccups!!!!

There is an old adage which says, “Man proposes but God disposes”. This seems to have come true in the case of Vijay starrer Azhagiya Tamil Magan which is nearing completion. An impressive set has been erected in Hyderabad to can the shots. A massive railway station is created and the film unit with more than two hundred junior artists is stationed at the Andhra capital to shoot the sequence.

Shooting was progressing steadily when monsoon played spoilt sport and the shooting had to be shelved temporarily. It has been reported that the crew is waiting for the showers to take a break so that they can resume their work. ATM is set to be a Diwali Dhamaka for Vijay fans.

Vadivelu and Vivek in triple roles???

Vadivelu is acting in triple roles in Indiralohathil Na Azhagappan. Comedian Vivek too is acting in three characters in Sundar C's starrer Porukki.

Sources said that the comedy part of the movie has been well penned and would take Vivek to greater heights after Sivaji.

Noted director Sakthi Chidambaram would produce the movie besides wielding the megaphone. Porukki went to floors recently in a grand muhurat in which who’s who of Tamil cinema including Napoleon, Nadhiya, Vivek, K S Ravikumar and many others participated.

‘Reflecting its title, Porukki would be an action packed drama’, according to the director.

Bheema Audio on 10th August!!!

Sources say that the much awaited audio of the year "Bheema" by Harris Jeyaraj is going to hit the floors on August 10th.... With the movie slated to release in early September the audio will be a trend setter for those Vikram as well as Harris Jeyaraj fans...........

KAMAL n HRITHIK Together?????

The biggest news of this year is out! Kamal Haasan, the best actor that India has ever produced, and the Superhero of Indian cinema, Hrithik Roshan, have signed the dotted lines to star in a movie together. The movie is being produced by Adlabs and sources say that Kamal Haasan has been signed up for whopping Rs. 20 crores.

The film is said to be an action extravaganza with Hollywood-style stunts; and according to the rumor mills working overtime it is stated to be a period film. Hrithik Roshan as a child artist has acted in a movie with Rajnikanth but this would be his first with Kamal. The storyline of the movie is unknown for this yet-to-named film. The film is stated to be made on a colossal Rs.100-crore budget. It is still not clear as to who would be directing this movie as it is being kept a close-guarded secret. Selva is Back!!!!

After Pudupettai, Selvaraghavan will be making his next Tamil flick Aayirathil Oruvan with Karthi, Reema Sen and Andrea of Pachaikili Muthucharam fame. Initially Selva was reported to make the Hindi version of 7 G, Rainbow Colony and later do Aayirathil Oruvan. However he has changed his mind and would begin work for the Tamil film soon.

Ramji who worked as cameraman for Paruthi Veeran was said to be the cinematographer for the Tamil film but due to his Hindi commitments he has expressed his inability to work in Selva’s film right now. Hence the unit is searching for a suitable cameraman who will translate Selva’s ideas appropriately on the silver screen. With the entry of cinematographer, shooting for Aayirathil Oruvan will begin soon. Music for the film will be scored by Selva’s pet musician Yuvan Shankar Raja who had participated in story discussion as well. Arya on 10th August!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Madhavan-Bhavana starrer Arya will hit theatres on 10th August. The action flick is directed by Balasekaran.

Arya is a thorough entertainer with the strong message of countering violence without actually reacting violently to it.

Music is by Mani Sharma; Pa. Vijay has written the lyrics; stunts are by Thalapathi Dinesh and choreography by Raju Sundaram, Cool Jeyant and Robert.

The movie was shot in Vizag, Hyderabad and Chennai.

The cast also includes Vadivelu, director Rajkapoor, Alex, Tejashree, Varshini, Kavitha, Sudha and Thalaivaasal Vijay.

Vikram and Bharadiraja join hands???

Vikram after lying low for quite some time, seems to be reaching for the higher gears in his career now.

His Bheema will hit the screens in a few weeks' time.

Vikram, meanwhile, is fully immersed in Susi Ganesan's Kandasamy, a slick and stylish entertainer that has Vikram at his debonair best.

And the hottest trade rumour has it that Vikram has lined up a real big one after Kandasamy.

Guess what it would be? Well, you can't. The news is that Vikram maybe doing a film under the baton of Bharathiraja, who incidentally is getting his Bommalattam ready.

Vikram had long evinced interest in doing an offbeat film like 16 Vayadhinile. Now after his hush-hush meeting with Bharathirja, that wish maybe coming true.

A recent ad in a daily read it was not the 50th day celebration for Sivaji but 50 days of celebration. And how true! Even after 50 days of its release, Sivaji is still continuing its show to packed houses, with no signs of slowing down as people just throng the theatres during weekends reaping in heavy returns. Distributors are so happy that they have got the returns which they have just dreamt of.

The movie is the biggest hit in the history of Tamil cinema and is three times ahead of the next biggest grosser. And all this in just 50 days!

Illayaraja all set for an English movie???

Maestro Illayaraja’s started his career with Annakili in the year 1976. From then on there was no looking back for this music genius. It was this movie that paved way for him to establish himself very strongly in Kollywood. His fame has reached far and wide with both the young and old relishing his music. The ace music director had enthralled the music buffs for many years not only in Tamil Nadu but in South India as well.

Recently, Illayaraja’s music for Cheeni Cum, a Hindi movie, received rave reviews and the songs have become a super hit. Now, the music maestro has now been signed up for an English movie which is to be produced by Bollywood producers. The film titled Cuecan Murugan will feature actors from all states across India. Kollywood would be represented by Nasser, Raju Sundaram and Shanmugarajan. Work is in progress and the movie will hit the screens in September, sources say.

Vijay and Dharani team up again!!!!!

The fiery and the fast phased combination of director Dharani and Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay is all set to ignite the Kollywood screen with their next venture after the latter completes Azhagiya Tamil Magan. This venture will be produced by Udaynidhi, son of local administration minister Mr. M K Stalin and grandson of chief minister Karunanidhi.

Script for the film is ready and as the duo is teaming up after the blockbuster victory of Ghilli, expectations have been catapulted to a dizzy height. On the music department, Vidya Sagar is reported to have composed few scintillating tracks which are said to be par excellence and the music director is working on the remaining tracks. Villains in Dharani’s films assume a pivotal role and the search for a suitable ‘bad element’ is on and as of now there are two contestants who are in the fray for this coveted position. They are Prakash Raj and Gopichand from Telegu filmdom. Meanwhile there are also talks going on that Sivaji villain Suman has clinched this ‘prestigious’ deal. As regards the title of the film, Dharani is likely to announce the same soon. Producer Udaynidhi is keen that the film should be talked about for its grandeur and content and finance is no issue at all here. This film will be 2008 summer release. Ajith wins his fourth Filmfare award. . . . . . . . . .

The 54th annual Filmfare Awards for Tamil films were announced recently. Filmfare awards, considered to be the Oscar of the Indian cinema, are what every actor and actresses dreams of. This year the awards ceremony will be held on August 4, at Hyderabad - two days prior to the mega event planned in Singapore.
