Director Ameer will be felicitated by the Cinema Press Club for the laurels he had achieved for Tamil Cinema. Ameer is the director of films like Mounam Pesiyade, Ram and Paruthiveeran which had great response from critics as well as in the box office. His movie Ram received an award at the Cyprus film festival. His recent movie Paruthiveeran has won an award in the 58th Berlin International Film Festival.
