Paruthiveeran adjudged the best movie???

Kollywood is going places with the new genre of directors and actors getting the recognition they truly deserve. At the recently held Osian’s cinefan – an, Asian Film festival in Delhi, Paruthiveeran was adjudged the best movie. And the best actress award went to its heroine Priyamani. Asian and Arab country movies were featured in this film festival.

Director Ameer was applauded as the greatest storyteller by the judges. The portrayal of the village love story in a different light and the unexpected climax are the two reasons for selecting the movie as the best, they said. On Priyamani being awarded the best actress, it was said that she had brought out the essence of the role with her exemplary performance. Please stay tuned to this blog for more updates.........

Dhanush in Goutham's project!!!

Dhanush will play the lead role in a Goutham Menon's film.

Confirming the news, the actor, said, “After Polladhavan and Yaradi Nee Mohini, I will be acting in Goutham Menon's film. It will be followed by a movie with Selvaraghavan. Also, a movie for producer Krishnakanth's Indian Theatres is on the cards”.

Goutham Menon will commence Dhanush venture once he completes his movies with Trisha and Varanam Aayiram starring Suriya and Genelia in prominent roles.

Ajith and Saran join together!!!

Ajith and director Saran share a good rapport between them. The director's maiden venture Kadhal Mannan featured Ajith in the lead role and it went on to become a big hit.

Saran followed it up with massive hits in films including Amarkalam and Attagasam. Considered a safe bet in the industry, the duo is coming together after a gap of two years.

Sources say Ajith and Saran would work together for a movie which would begin soon. Saran has floated his own production house and has been churning out movies like Aaru and Muni, directed by other directors.

Kreedom climax changed????

Kreedom , the recent movie of Ajith, which is currently running in the theatres now is said to be a realistic story with a tragic end... Though it has won the heart of many critics most of the Ajith fans did not like the climax where their thala loses everything... So on the fans request the climax of the movie has been changed and will be released tomorrow with the changed climax.... Is this a good practice of actually fans dictating the terms of a movie or is it fine??? Please do comment on it...

Hrithik into Scripting???

It is rare for well established young heroes to venture into scripting, they might be afraid of putting their own careers at risk, so they normally stay off the path. It does take a lot of confidence to script a movie for yourself, and we know that Hrithik Roshan has lots of that and that’s why he will be scripting the sequel to Krrish along with his father, Rakesh Roshan.

But Hrithik has previous experience as an assistant director (not exactly, but he was around, helping in the direction of many movies before he actually made his debut). So, we wish the hunk of Bollywood lots of luck for his first co-scripting venture. Stay tuned to Inside Report for further updates.................

Vijay-Prabhu Deva unite again!!!

After their success in Pokkiri ,The Vijay-Prabhu Deva duo returns with an new untitled film produced by London Karuna, of Ayyankaran International. The film will go on the floors after Vijay completes his present films, that is around May 2008. Prabhu Deva has already signed his favourite music director Mani Sharma.

Whats next for Venkat Prabhu????

With Chennai 600028, the maiden directorial venture of Venkat Prabhu is nearing a 100-day completion, several offers come knocking at his doors to wield the megaphone.

He is busy acting with Madhavan in Vazhthukal, and has denied any rumors that he would be directing Ajith soon, Venkat Prabhu said that his next venture is titled Desiya Nedunchalai 47. It would be newcomers in the lead roles with musical score by Yuvanshankar Raja and cinematography by Sakthi Saravanan.

Premji Gangai Amaran would play a pivotal role in the film. he said...

9 Directors,1 Film???

Sarathkumar's next film Nam Naadu will see nine directors share screen space.

The film is a remake of the Malayalam film Lion and stars Karthika opposite Sarath. Directed by Suresh, Nam Naadu is a political drama.

The directors showing their acting skills are Sarath, Naseer, Manivannan, Ramesh Khanna, Charanraj, Ponvannan, T.P. Gajendran, Santhaan Bharathi and Rajkapoor.

Narain into wedlock!!!!

This Onam will be a special one for Narain, as he is entering into wedlock by the 26th of next month. He will tie the marriage knot with popular compere and singer Manju Haridas at Chinmayanjali auditorium at Kozhikkode between 10:30 and 11: 30 of the day.

Manju and Narain, who first met in an interview programme, later became too close as she was there to sing a song for his Tamil film.

Narain, who shot to fame in Malayalam with 4 the people, also became a notable star in Tamil within a year with the hit Chithiram Pesuthadi

He is the son of Santha Ramakrishana and T M Ramakrishnan who is working at Abu Dhabi. Manju is the daughter of P T Haridas who was the dept head of history of Malabar Christian College and Dr M Sumathy who is the Principal of Kozhikkode Guruvayoorappan College.

Narain has also arranged for a reception at the Casino cultural auditorium at Thrissur on 28th of August.

Movie which escaped the scissors of Censor board??

We have seen that each n every movie has to go through the censor board at its final stage... Many movies have lost many important/non-important scenes during this censor process... U may be able to see the chart displaying the various scenes being censored at the display board of a theatre screening that movie...
I can hardly remember a movie which has escaped being censored... But u wont believe, there is a movie which has escaped the scissors of this board... Yes, Kannum Kannum which has Prasanna Udayathara and Vadivel in its lead role has managed to pull off the whole process without having to face the scissors. We have to salute the whole crew especially the director G.Marimuthu for his efforts... The Censor board for the first time is actually praising a movie which is supposed to be a soft romance story.... The movie is all set to release next month... Lets just find out what is in store for us in this movie....

Superstars' Next Venture???

Superstar with his predicted blockbuster movie SIVAJI has proved that he is indeed THE-BOSS of Indian Cinema... His body language and his style still make us feel that he is in the mid 20's... This is just our feeling, then just imagine a Superstar fans' reaction to such a movie... As everyone is eagerly waiting for his next venture, there are rumours echoing in the industry that his next venture will be with A.R.MURUGADOSS.. The Director who is currenly busy with his project ( Ghajini( Hindi ) with Aamir Khan in the lead role ) has already narrated a story to Mr.Rajnikanth.. The director is enthusiastic about directing a film for Superstar and so are the fans... But the only fear among the fans is that there are chances of the movie releasing only in 2009 as Ghajini itself is slated to release in summer-2008.. It might be a long wait for the fans..It is all in the hands of Superstar to choose his next venture...

Shankar and King Khan???

With Sivaji still creating waves around the world of cinema, there was a big question mark on the next project of both Superstar RajniKanth and the SuperDirector Shankar... Although it seems that one of them is sorted out... Yes, an official announcement from Shankar himself.. His next project was slated to be ROBOT.. There were rumors that Ajith or Hrithik might cast in this big venture... But its time for bollywoods' King Khan to team up with the sophisticated director... This is not it, Shahrukh has offered his unit i.e RED CHILLI PRODUCTIONS to handle productions for this grandeur movie...

The movie will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi... This is Shankars' second movie after Nayak( the hindi version of Mudalvan ).
